Lesson Part 1 (Quality Tools) 40 points

Using PMBOK 5e, prepare five templates using specific quality tools that could be used to plan, assure, and control quality in the family garden scenario.

Choose from 1) flow charts, 2) check sheets, 3) Pareto diagrams, 4) histograms, 5) control charts, 6) scatter diagrams, 7) affinity diagrams, 8) process decision programs charts, 9) interrelationship digraphs, 10) tree diagrams, 11) prioritization matrices, 12) activity network diagrams, 13) matrix diagrams, 14) inspections, and 15) statistical sampling.

Not all of the tools are applicable or useful in the family garden scenario. Pick the tools you believe best apply to the project. This will require each of you to study each tool, understand how it is used, and whether or not it works with the family garden scenario.

Part 2 (Write a Quality Management Plan) 50 points

Using CPM 3e and the PMBOK5e, prepare a quality management plan (QMP) for the family garden scenario. Address each aspect described in Section 11.3, CPM 3e. Use the templates prepared in Part 1, above, as part of the quality tools section in the plan.

If information needed to complete a QMP is not explicitly stated in the scenario description or other project artifacts you’ve created or collected for this scenario in the past lessons, then develop (make-up) the information you need to complete the plan.

The entire plan, including templates contained in appendices, should not exceed 15 pages. Use tables and illustrations as needed to convey information.

Follow APA for the entire Quality Management Plan.

English 102 Essay 4: Literary Research Essay Assignment (First Draft)

Your last written assignment for this class is a 6 to 8-page, 1,500 to 1,800-word research essay on a current issue or an enduring question of your choice. The First Draft should be Five to Ten paragraphs in length and does not require the use of sources. You will use documented source material to support your essay’s thesis.

One of your sources for this essay must be chosen from among the stories, poems, plays, or novel listed on our reading list (please see the Syllabus). A research essay presents and develops a thesis supporting multiple sources of opinion. You stake out a subject narrow enough to be researched and you steep yourself in it. Then you formulate a thesis — your own attitude or opinion on the subject — and present it in a persuasive form, along with facts, opinions, and information that prove it true. You should use appeals and other methods to support your thesis, but you should also analyze each source you plan to use to support your thesis.

THE PARTS OF A RESEARCH ESSAY

There are two parts to a Research Essay:

The text (six or more pages and 1,500 to 1,800 words)

The works cited page (one or more pages)

RESEARCH ESSAY FORMAT

Much of the writing in your research essay comes from the work of other writers, and you must give proper credit by citing (mentioning) these sources in your paper. The art of citing is called documentation, which is required for any information falling into the following three categories:

Any judgment, opinion, speculation or theory that is not original (unless it is universally known and accepted).

Any fact or statistic open to dispute.

Any information provided by a specific observer, even by an expert in his or her field (for example, opinions of psychologists on child abuse).

QUOTATIONS AND CITATIONS

You will use quotations to include information from your sources in your essay. For example, if you were quoting a Newsweek magazine article on the Virgin Mary by Kenneth L. Woodward, you could write:

Kenneth L. Woodward, in his article on the Virgin Mary, writes that “the 20th century has belonged to Mary” (49).

Or…..

According to Kenneth L. Woodward, the 20th century has “belonged to Mary” (49).

Or…..

Kenneth L. Woodward writes: “The 20th century has belonged to Mary” (49).

You will use the MLA (Modern Languages Association) style for parenthetical documentation to list your sources on your Works Cited page, which is the last page of your essay.

You must use at least four sources (one or more from each of the following categories) and list them on your works cited page:

one book;

one periodical (magazine, journal or newspaper) article;

one website;

one “multimedia” source: a film, video, DVD, painting, musical piece, etc.).

These sources should be listed in alphabetical order, by the author’s last name. Your source listings for books should look like this: Author’s last name, author’s first name, title of book, name of publisher, and year of publication.

For example, if we were listing author Barbara Kingsolver’s novel, The Bean Trees:

Kingsolver, Barbara. The Bean Trees. HarperCollins, 1988.

(The publisher and year of publication can usually be found at the beginning of a book, before the title page.)

Your source listings for articles should look like this: Author’s last name, author’s first name, title of article, name of magazine or newspaper, date of article, article’s page numbers.

For example, if we were listing Kenneth L. Woodward’s Newsweek article, “Hail, Mary”:

Woodward, Kenneth L. “Hail, Mary.” Newsweek. August 25, 1997: pp. 49-55.

Writing research essays is not as complicated as it sounds. Keep this sheet handy, think carefully about the subject you write about, and see me if you have any questions.

Here is a list of possible topics for you to choose from. This includes topics you already wrote about in class. You must make reference to one or more imaginative literature sources (fiction, poetry, or drama) that are mentioned in our Syllabus.

Dagoberto Gilb, Sandra Cisneros, and the Latinx Experience in Literature.

Langston Hughes, Alice Walker, and the African-American Experience in Literature.

Ray Bradbury, Ursula K. LeGuin, and the Literature of Utopia and Dystopia.

Tim O’Brien, Wilfred Owen, and the Literature of War.

Tillie Olson, Susan Glaspell, and Feminist Literature.

William Shakespeare, John Donne, and the Literature of Romantic Love.

Ancient versus Modern Drama.

Technology and the Future.

Romantic Love versus Family Love.

William Butler Yeats and the Literature of Apocalypse.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez and the Magical Realism Movement.

I need help creating a thesis and an outline on Companies Go Global, But Many Managers Just Don’t Travel Well. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required.

Each and every company’s measure of success is the fact that they have penetrated both local and global markets. The global market is an added advantage because it means that the goods and services that they produce have an international appeal. This means more revenue, continued exposure and more global offices all over the world. This paper will review the article written by Carol Hymowitz (Hymowitz, 2000). It will look at the various descriptions and attitudes of the American manager and their level of success. It will also dissect why other managers are looking at the American manager with envy, despite their manners. It also aims to educate other managers on how to conduct sound, profitable business practices globally.

The article looks at the sentiments of managers from other countries and their opinions of the American manager. What comes out clearly is that the American manger is perceived to be extremely successful. This is as a result of the combinations of various factors. They are in many instances deemed as non global people. This means that they do not take time to understand the culture, language or mannerisms of the people that they are conducting business (Hymowitz, 2000). The American mangers have engrossed themselves in a culture of “they know it best”. They have an attitude of things being done their way or no way at all. Despite all this, they are ranked as the most powerful mangers running powerful, and extremely sophisticated organizations. The author of the article states simply that the American manger could do much for the organization that he or she represents. This is through adherence to a strict global outlook that makes the entire globe eager to conduct business with the Americans.

Any American manger wanting to break ground in new territory should understand the region has its own climate. This means that they have policies, rules, regulations, language, religion, mode of expression and a strict sense of a culture that units them. They should understand that they have a unique business acumen that represents them as a globe or country. The way to succeed in such a country is by adhering to the people’s way of life at all times. The act of management should encompass what the employees of that region expect of their manager. This means that if an American country wants to appeal to clients in an Islamic nation, it has to adhere to certain basic Islamic concepts. The employees should have a separated area where they can hold their prayer sessions as per Islam Laws. The manger should ensure that the company that he, or she represents is a clear example of decency in dress code, and behavioural practices. This will appeal more to the targeted client who contributes significantly to the growth and success of the company (Hymowitz, 2000).

In conclusion, the success of any organization is represented by the employees and the organization’s clients. This shows that the American manager or any other manager targeting success in the global environment has to adhere to certain codes and practices. This ensures that, despite its location or target population, the business gels into the environment accumulating as much profit as it can (Hymowitz, 2000). This is an added advantage to employees and the country’s revenue collection from the company in the form of tax. There are so many organizations and companies that have opened up offices globally. Many of them ended up closing and incurring huge losses. This is as a result of their lack of coordination that would aid them to gel into the global environment.

Hi, need to submit a 1500 words essay on the topic In what respects has the process of globalization changed the international political agenda.

s closer and has created a level of interdependence between these nations, where the economies, social structures and security relationships of these countries have been connected in an interwoven web of an intricate delicacy.(Skolnikoff,2001).

There are still those who suggest that the world has “gone beyond interdependence”, to the point that there has become “a tightly woven fabric of international agreements, organizations, and institutions that shape relations with each other and penetrate deeply into their internal economics and politics.” (Chayes &Chayes, 1995).

Due to this, many people argue that the phenomenon of globalization has created a sense of demarcation of boundaries and territories and has threatened the age old concept of the Nation-state. Linklater (1998) comments that globalization has created a sense of pressure on the political systems of the world and “it has become essential to question the assumption that citizenship has no meaning apart from the sovereign nation-state”. This idea that the world has been interconnected to the point that there has arisen a lack of national identities has had far reaching impacts around the world and has not only effected social and economical factors of countries around the world but also the international political ideals and agendas. He says that “globalization and fragmentation erode traditional conceptions of the community and reduce the moral significance of national boundaries.

Putzel (2004) is of the opinion that “patterns of globalization and liberalization need to be examined in light of their political consequences, especially in the context of situations of state collapse and violent conflict”. , a fact which has had a transformational effect on the terrain of politics and the political agendas of countries around the world. The author suggests that this movement of globalization which has weakened the concept of Nation-State and has instated a sort of semi-democracy in most
