Create a 12-15-slide PowerPoint presentation to educate a group of students or adults about the core tenets listed above for an upcoming Constitution Day celebration in a school setting. You may select a grade level 1-12, teachers, or parents as your audience. Please specify your intended audience and include other pertinent information within the speaker notes. Your presentation should be engaging and appropriate for your chosen audience. Include speaker notes below each content-related slide that represent what would be said if giving the presentation in person. Expand upon the information included in the slide and do not simply restate it. Please ensure the speaker notes include a minimum of 50-100 words in your speaker notes per slide.

In addition to your PowerPoint, include a 250-500-word essay describing two interactive learning activities for your intended audience to coincide with your presentation.

Importance of Homeland Security

  Over the duration of this course, many topics have been covered in the area of homeland security. Your final paper must also be on a topic related to homeland security and meet the following requirements: 

   Be a minimum of eight double-spaced pages in length (excluding the title/cover page and reference page). If you include an abstract, the abstract does not count towards the eight pages.  Use a minimum of ten scholarly resources aside from the text.  Incorporate concepts from our course.  Include a properly formatted APA style title page.  Include in-text citations  Include an introductory paragraph with a succinct thesis statement.  Conclude with a restatement of the thesis and a conclusion paragraph.  Include an APA-formatted reference section.

 Your research paper must be cited per APA guidelines. You are required to use scholarly resources to support your response. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations. 

 Sites such as Wikipedia, e-how.com, history.com, howthingswork.com, and other similar sources are not scholarly in nature and MAY NOT be used for this assignment.

New Media PowerPoint

For your New Media PowerPoint you will select a form of New Media (an application) that relates to Communications and produce a 10-15 PowerPoint slide presentation including the who, what, when, where, why, how, and price of your selection. Your PowerPoint is to be done on a complete black background and contain words and at least one picture on each slide.

Your presentation needs to be saved in PowerPoint format and uploaded to here to Canvas. You may convert to a PowerPoint file via any free conversion site on the Internet before you upload.

The goal is for you to share one of your favorite new apps and educate us about it and how it relates to communications and makes your life easier.
