PM586 SEC H PROJECT PART 2 SEITZ HUNTSVILLE PROJECT HUNTSVILLE PLANT REPORT Janis is being optimistic that the project will end by the end of 2009. After building a schedule from the Huntsville Task List, it seems impossible. Project is not even finishing by the deadline set by board of directors, which is June 30, 2010. According to the schedule if followed as is, the project distribution (last phase) ends on July 8, 2010, a week after the deadline. It is obvious that the project cannot get done by the end of 2009 as Janis would have liked but there are a few options that if followed properly can ensure that the Project meets the deadline or even finish a few weeks before the deadline. According to the schedule, Project is duration 64 weeks, out of which 40 weeks are occupied by Building Construction . I believe this task can be finished earlier than 40 weeks since Janis has a huge budget and plenty of resources, all she lacks is time, which could be bought. A possible option would be to get temp contractors to expedite the building construction process and may be save 5 or more weeks which will ensure an on time project. Another must do should be reducing the time on Equipment Procurement which takes about 6 months according to the schedule. If proper planning has been done in the planning phase, this task shouldn t last more than 3 months since the PM has all the resources available. Reference MS Project Part 2 schedule

Complete 7 page APA formatted essay: Environmental Issues that impact the Western United States.

America is one of the prominent nuclear powers in the world and its nuclear power plants are generating immense nuclear wastes which are dumped into seas. Moreover, the fertilizers, chemicals and pesticides used to improve the agricultural yields, are polluting the soil and water. Western United States is a region which is facing big environmental problems as a result of visionless industrial and agricultural policies. This paper briefly analyses the environmental problems of Western America and provides some recommendations to overcome it. Environmental problems in western America Mining is one of the major activities which cause severe environmental problems in Western America. Mining started in America in the nineteenth century and western America is a region which is blessed with precious metals like gold and minerals. The gold rush in the nineteenth century resulted in the construction of rail, roads and other transportation means and many of the natural forests were destroyed. Some of the cities like Denver and Sacramento evolved as mining towns during this period. Contamination of soil and water, erosion, destruction of biodiversity etc were the outcomes of gold rush or mining. Mining is a process which requires the use of lot of chemicals to purify the metals and minerals mined out of the soil. These chemicals often pollute the soil and water. A scoping study conducted by the Western Governors’ Association Mine Waste Task Force (1) collected the following statistics on inactive and abandoned mines (IAMs) by state: Arizona — 80,000 IAM sites covering 136,653 acres, pollution 200 miles of surface waterways. California — 2,484 IAM sites, 1,685 mine openings, and 578 miles of polluted streams. Colorado — 20,299 mine openings and 1,298 miles of affected streams. Idaho — 27,543 acres affected by IAMs. Missouri — 7,655 IAM sites covering 48,175 acres, with 109 miles of affected streams. Montana — 20,000 IAM sites covering 153,800 acres, with 1,118 miles of stream damage. New Mexico — 25,320 acres and 69 miles of stream affected by IAMs. Oklahoma — 26,453 acres affected by IAMs. Utah — 25,020 acres affected by IAMs, with 83 miles of polluted streams. Of this total volume, approximately 85 percent is attributed to copper, iron ore, uranium, and phosphate mining and related activities. Approximately one-half of the waste generated is mining waste and one-third is tailings, with the balance consisting of dump/heap leaching wastes and mine water (Durkin and Herrmann, n. d) Even though mine waste problems affect the environment in numerous ways, acid mine drainage is the most serious problem arises as a result of mining. Mine wastes may engage in serious chemical reactions with other elements present in soil, rock water etc. For example, the major constituent of rock is ferrous sulphide which could be oxidized to form hydrogen ion when mine wastes react with it in the presence of water. Since hydrogen ions can easily react with water to form different types of acids, and thereby the acidity of the soil would be increased a lot. Acids have the ability to react with different types of metals and elements present in soil and water. In other worlds, when the acidity increases in the soil, lot of unwanted or poisonous materials can be generated. In short, mining indirectly pollute the water and the soil near the mining areas. The agriculture in Western United States mostly depends

Write a 3 page essay on Improving Life in the United State.

Some of the activists of health eating are advocating that most people become vegetarians. Research has shown that vegetables have very low or zero cholesterol and to help in better performance of the body metabolism compared to animal food products. Thus, the assumption is most vegetarians’ value and care for the environment. Moreover, to improve life in America, every person must stand out to avoid the life threatening events like unhealthy living and global warming.

Corliss compares people reason for eating meat on a daily basis to reason a person can give for smoking cigarette (Web). The consumption of beef in America is on the increase. Consequently, most Americans do not comprehensively understand the enormous side effects of beef consumption. Most Americans may not understand well the term vegetarian because many people in America thinks a vegetarian is a person who consumes vegetables more often as side dish. Although, vegetarianism is health friendly to be a person, the practices of the habits come with complexities and challenges. Therefore, most people may fall back to the old habit because most people are flirty vegetarian. Corliss states that a true vegetarian view beef as “not just the additives and ailments connected with the consumption of beef, though a dish of hormones, Eichhornia coli bacteria or the scary specter of mad-cow disease” (Web). Thus, this can be enough reason to not bounce back to beef consumption habit. Therefore, an attitude of a person towards food causes some people to overlook the value of the product to their body or the harm of the product cause to their health. To improve the life of the Americans, change of attitude towards vegetables is what the American people need to embrace.

Healthy eating lifestyle can be one of the best ways to conquer most lifestyle diseases. Thus, eating local foods

Need an argumentative essay on Do you believe Girl or Sabbat function as Little Red Riding Hood (LRRH) Rewrites Why or why not In your response, you may respond to only one text and you must compare it to a traditional version of LRRH. Needs to be 4 pages. Please no plagiarism.

In as much as “Sabbat” appears to be in the tale, “girl” is more dominant and serves as the Little Red Riding Hood (LRRH).

In all versions of the tale, there are human relationships evidenced by the presence of people such as grandmother. Certainly, a “Sabbat” cannot have a grandmother unless in a fiction. Evidently, the girl had a grandmother and was anxious to learn various things. As a result, when given a Red Riding Hood by her grandmother she ends up wondering around in the forest. Certainly, the latter plays a more important role in shaping perception and understanding of the tale (Hillert 71). The original versions make the wolf a dangerous animal that eats the girl. Nevertheless, the following versions make it difficult for the story to end in the direction as she gets saved before the actual process. For instance, in one instance a saviour disguises as her father to initiate a safe retrieval from the dangerous situation. In other instances, the saviour appears as a hunter or woodcutter to rescue the Little Red Riding Hood.

The moral ambiguity in all the stories appear to focused on a human experience. Variation in moral message among the different versions of Little Red Riding Hood represents different issues. Conceivably, the theme of not talking to strangers dominates the story that makes it easy for children to learn. Undoubtedly, many parents have been on the verge of teaching and educating their children not to talk to strangers. The educative book makes it easy for parents to educate children without going through hard lessons (Mays 46). Contrary to Perrault version that has additional text located at the end of every story, others leave the unintended version for readers to employ different measures. Interestingly, the human experience of the girl in the tale makes this possible. Without a consistent word layout, it is difficult to bring into light
