Sales tax is a tax on the retail sales price of purchases (Hyman, 2014). Sales tax is an indirect tax. State governments set sales tax rate. I think sales tax should be collected on internet purchase.  As there is no sales tax on internet purchase, sellers can sell goods at lower price on internet. This gives online sellers undue advantage over brick-and-mortar sellers. If sales tax is collected on internet purchase, the government can collect additional tax revenue that can be used to add infrastructure, and welfare programs. Additional tax revenue will also help to offset budget deficiencies. Other advantage of collecting sales tax on internet purchase is, it will encourage additional competition between virtual and brick-and-mortar stores (Parietti, 2015). Brick-and-mortar stores are losing customers to online sellers because online sellers are able to sell goods at lower price.

There are some disadvantages of collecting sales tax on internet purchase. Enforcement of these laws will be a challenge as sellers can be located anywhere, even outside the country (Parietti, 2015). Businesses can also establish nexus to avoid collecting and paying sales tax. Another disadvantage of collecting sales tax on internet purchase is, it will discourage many small businesses, many operating from home and selling exclusively online. Internet sales is encourages by the sales-tax free environment. If sales tax is collected on internet purchase, consumers will have to pay more to buy goods online, which may decrease aggregate demand. So, it may hurt the growth of economy.

Hi, need to submit a 3500 words essay on the topic Every Act of Terrorism is a Wrongful Act.

&nbsp. The first question is “what is terrorism” and the second question is ” can the act of terrorism be morally justified” or to put it on the focus of the paper, whether terrorism is always wrong or not. Philosophers have presented a variety of positions on both questions. With regards to the definition of terrorism, their dominant view looks to allow the core meaning “terrorism” has in universal use. Terrorism is considered as a form of violence (Brzoska 2014, p. 67). A number o definitions stress the experience of fear or terror as the main of that violent act. Neither terror nor violence is inflicted for its own personal sake, but instead for the sake of an unrelated aim like coercion or political goal (Primoratz 2012, p. 23). However, there are definitions, as well, which sever the abstract connection of terrorism with terror or with violence (Wright 2007, p. 21). With regards to the moral stance of terrorism, many philosophers have different opinions on how that is to be determined, as well as what the determination is. Consequentialists recommend viewing terrorism, like everything else, taking into consideration its consequences (Walzer 2006, p. 3). Nonconsequentialists claim that its moral stance is not just a matter of what effects, on balance, terrorism has, but is instead determined, whether only or mainly, by what it is. Stances on the ethics of terrorism vary from justification when its effects on balance are upright, or when some deontological moral needs have contended, to its almost absolute, absolute or rejection (Honderich 2004, p. 14).

The essay is going to discuss whether terrorism is always wrong.&nbsp.

Do you think that this system will continue to define Hindu orthodoxy in the 21st century? Why or why not?

3.     What basic beliefs do Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism have in common? How do they differ? Do you think that the similarities are more important than the differences, or vice-versa?

4.     Describe the basic beliefs and practices of Zen and Pure Land—two of the most popular forms of Mahayana Buddhism in East Asia. What do these traditions have in common? How do they differ? Do you think that the similarities are more important than the differences, or vice-versa?

5.     Choose one (1) to answer:

b.     Are the philosophical principles associated with the “Teachings of Daoist sages” consistent with the ideals of longevity and immortality that developed in “Organized Daoism?” Why or why not?

c.      Compare and contrast the Confucian and Daoist traditions. How are they similar…and on what points do they diverge? Explain how these two traditions complement each other, using specific examples to illustrate your argument.

d.     Explain the importance of purification—both personal and collective—in the Shinto tradition. Your answer should include references to terms such as tsumi, misogi and oharai, as well as discussions of phenomena such as nature, mountains, and shrines.

Section II

Write no more than one (1) paragraph for each question.

6.     Describe the two creation stories in Genesis, chapter 1 to 2:4 and 2:4 through chapter 3. How do their major themes differ and what does this imply about how we should interpret biblical texts?

7.     What conflicts led to the split between the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches? What are the main elements of belief and/or practice that distinguish these two traditions? On what points do they essentially agree?

8.     What are the basic characteristics that distinguish Protestant Christianity from Roman Catholicism? Do their differences outweigh their similarities, or do the essential principles that they share unite these traditions as legitimate expressions of Christianity?

9.      Define the meaning of “schism” in religion.  Give examples from the Western religions.  Clarify the similarities and differences.

10.   Review the “Six Guidelines for Comparing Religions Responsibly.”  What does Kripal tell us not to believe?
