write my assignment 14897

For this assignment, you are going to use what you have learned about attitudes and conformity and obedience to suggest ways to convince others to comply with a request.

Follow the Written Assignment Guidelines in this and all other assignments in this course.

1. One area of social psychology involves social influence. There are many times in your life where you will have to try to persuade someone to make a behavior e.g. buy something you are selling, stop smoking, unload the dishwasher on a regular basis, vote for a particular candidate, exercise more, etc . For this assignment pick one behavior you want people to do.

2. Review the information in chapter 13 psychology eleventh edition G.MYERS on attitudes and social influence.

3. Research suggests that there are two ways to persuade people: the central route and the peripheral route. Explain, IN DETAIL, these two routes to persuasion. Then explain how you would get a person you are trying to persuade to follow the desired behavior in each of these routes.

4. Then using your knowledge of persuasion and social influence suggest ONE additional way social psychological concepts can be applied to increase compliance in this case. Define the concept and ELABORATE on how you would use it to persuade the person to change his or her behavior.

Please answer carefully with detail in your own word every question 1, 3, and 4

Write a Java program that will display the following menu until the exit choice (#4) is selected by the user (See Sample Program Run below). The program will calculate the areas and perimeter or circumference by calling only two functions and passing two parameters: a numeric value (side), and a character code to each function.

Program Requirements:

1.The character code, ‘C’ or ‘S’, is used to distinguish between circle and square shapes.

2.  calcArea() will accepttwo parametersand return the area of the shape (either the circle or the square depending on the character code received).

3.calcPerim()will accepttwo parametersand return the perimeter or circumference of the shape (either the circle or the square depending on the character code received).

4.Themain()functionwill display a message which identifies the selected shape and its area or perimeter/circumference, depending upon the selected option.

5.PIshould be declared as a constant.

Southwestern University (SWU), a large state college in Stephenville, Texas, enrolls close to 20,000 students. The school is a dominant force in the small city, with more students during fall and spring than permanent residents.Always a football powerhouse, SWU is usually in the top 20 in college football rankings. Since the legendary Bo Pitterno was hired as its head coach in 2003 (in hopes of reaching the elusive number 1 ranking), attendance at the five Saturday home games each year increased. Prior to Pitterno’s arrival, attendance generally averaged 25,000 to 29,000 per game. Season ticket sales bumped up by 10,000 just with the announcement of the new coach’s arrival. Stephenville and SWU were ready to move to the big time! The immediate issue facing SWU, however, was not NCAA ranking. It was capacity. The existing SWU stadium, built in 1953, has seating for 54,000 fans. The following table indicates attendance at each game for the past 6 years. One of Pitterno’s demands upon joining SWU had been a stadium expansion, or possibly even a new stadium. With attendance increasing, SWU administrators began to face the issue head-on. Pitterno had wanted dormitories solely for his athletes in the stadium as an additional feature of any expansion.SWU’s president, Dr. Joel Wisner, decided it was time for his vice president of development to forecast when the existing stadium would “max out.” The expansion was, in his mind, a given. But Wisner needed to know how long he could wait. He also sought a revenue projection, assuming an average ticket price of $50 in 2010 and a 5% increase each year in future prices.Discussion Questions1.
