What is meme? I have an assignment to identify two memes in the novel “House of God,” which is written by Samuel Shem. Please help me to find two memes in this novel if you have read about it. The story of this novel is briefly about new medical interns who practice in a hospital. They go in with one set of memes and they come out with another. Personally, I think two possible memes are about doctors and gomers (elder patients who have mental problems). For doctors, the meme can be the delivery of medical care is to do nothing that conflicts with we expect about doctors. For patients, the meme may be “gomers don’t die” since they require a long-term treatment l.
