The following must be submitted by the end of the day (11:59pm local time) on Saturday. No credit is available for submissions not made by this time. The system will not accept submissions made after this time. This is not a group assignment, so no collaboration or discussion is allowed; it must be worked on individually. Submit your responses to all three questions in a single document. There should be a single title page for the document. However, each question should have its own separate references page. The total length of the document should be between 13 and 16 pages.
Question 1: In 750-1000 words, identify and explain the five steps of forecasting, and then come up with an original example taken from your own professional experiences to illustrate these steps. Your response must be original. You must incorporate at least three reliable sources, one of which must be the class text, both as references and corresponding in-text citations. APA format is expected.
Question 2: In 750-1000 words, explain qualitative and quantitative forecasting, and then come up with an original example of each taken from your own professional experiences to illustrate these two forecasting types. Let’s face it. We are judged on looks. In general, people like to say otherwise. People tend to say that “It’s the inside that counts”. While there may be truth to that statement, it doesn’t take away from the fact that physical appearances matter to us all. If it didn’t, we would never go to the gym or wear certain outfits. Watch the video, “Marks of Identity”. Out of all of the mini-episodes you watched, which one was the most different? Could you identify with any of the practices shown or were they too extreme for you? Do you know someone whose personal choices and how they choose to mark their body makes them an outcast? Explain your reaction to the video and answer the questions thoroughly.

That video was a little hard to watch. I couldn’t imagine going through the pain that some people go through to mark or modify their bodies. The one I felt was most extreme was the neck coils and also getting third degree burns to mark your body. I felt like those two things where very extreme. I could not believe the damage they were doing to their bodies by pushing their shoulders down and squishing their ribs together. Also, the people that mark their bodies with third degree burns, that is insane. They can catch infections and die or lose the part of the body. Most things in this video were a little extreme. The only thing I can relate to is people with tattoos. I personally do not have any because I am terrified of needles but some people look really good with them and get meaningful designs as well. I have many friends that have tattoos on their bodies and they definitely look like an outcast but their personality is like anyone else’s. I do not judge the book by its cover. To end this, my reaction to this video is that I was chocked.

The most different in my opinion was the Paduang tradition because it’s the most foreign. The process of the brass collar seems very harsh; considering the fact that it would leave bruises on the neck of the females.I don’t know anyone that has strange markings on their bodies to the point it makes them an outcast. I was very shocked when I saw this video because it showed how far people are willing to go express themselves or to be attractive. For instance, in the paduang tradion video, the narrator stated that women put the rings around their neck because it is their tradition and to attract the men in the tribe.

this assignment is due tomorrow….. no late work and you must have done by tomorrow…… do not bid if you can not have done by tomorrow.
This is based on child development. There are 2 options to do this assignment.
Choose one of the options below and follow all instructions!!
For the infant/toddler assignment you can choose either the observation OR the interview.
Option 1 Naturalistic Observation:For this assignment, you will need to observe a child younger than 23 months (if the child is two or older, you can use them for the early childhood observation). You may observe your own child; however, remember that this is an observation. You should not be interacting with the child at the time so you will need another adult with you. (5 points for complete sentences, paragraph format, double spacing, correct spelling, punctuation and grammar.)
Meets All SLOs
Your introductory paragraph should include the following:describe the setting (where were you when doing the observation….. at home, at a park, a friends’ house, etc.); date; time; gender of child; age of child; and your relation to the child (how do you know them). Then, describe exactly what you see the infant/toddler doing for 30 minutes. Watch how the child moves their body; describe their movements. Watch how the child uses their hands and fingers; describe their movements.Does the child make any sounds/attempts at language?Try to keep your assumptions and opinions aside.Use your senses to describe. The child should not be in front of a screen! (6 points)
For the analysis, evidence that you have referred to the textbook is a must!Use quotes, refer to terms and definitions, put the page number in parentheses at the end of the sentence. You should use at least 2 terms per domain, but more is good!
Analyze the following categories (one paragraph for each domain):
2.Physical Development: (6 points)
Describe which gross and fine motor skills the child has reached. What has the child already achieved and what would be the next step in development? What can the parent/caregiver do to stimulate physical development?
3.Cognitive Development: (6points)
Which of Piaget’s SUB-stages for Sensorimotor Intelligence do you see and why?? Give specific examples related to the stage of development.
If the child is 6 months or older, try the object permanence experiment. Does the child know the object is still there if hidden??
Language: Describe the child’s development in language. Again, describe what the parents/caregivers can do to stimulate language development.
4.Psychosocial Development: (6 points)
Describe which developing emotions the child has reached.
Can you classify the baby as easy, difficult or slow to warm up? Give examples. You may need to ask the primary caregiver this question.
Choose one other aspect of psychosocial development to discuss (do you see evidence of the theories of infant psychosocial development? Do you see evidence of attachment? Any other concept from Chapter 7)
5.A concluding paragraph:what did you learn from this observation?Your general comments about this process.(6 points)At least four to five sentences here!!
Or, if you do not have a child to observe you may do an interview!
Option 2: Interview your own parents about your early years.Let the interview flow naturally, but do cover all the domains of development:
1.Begin your paper with an introductory paragraph about your family. What was pregnancy, labor and delivery like with you?Do you have siblings? What is the birth order?Anything else you would like to describe about your family structure?(5 points)
Evidence that you can apply the information from the textbook is a must!Use quotations, with the page number in parentheses at the end of the sentence. **Ask the following questions and also add two questions of your own design for any domain. What do you want to know about your early years? Please type out the exact questions you asked, followed by your parents’ responses.
2.Physical:(6 points)
When did you sit up or take your first step?
When and HOW did they potty-train you?
Health and Safety Concerns: in recent years, we have become much more concerned about baby safety.Ask your parents if they used a car seat for you?Did they use a baby monitor so they could hear you?How did they baby-proof the house? And, were you ever accidentally injured as a baby/toddler?
3.Cognitive: (6 points)
Ask your parents to describe a typical day with you as a young child. How did they stimulate your cognitive development?
Language Development: What was your first word? When did you say it?How did your parents support language acquisition?Remember the different theories in child development (language is an innate ability; or language attempts are rewarded – behaviorism).
4.Psychosocial: (6 points)
How would your parents describe attachment theory?Did you have multiple caregivers? How did they foster bonding and attachment?
Discipline: one of the great controversies in child development is on spanking. How did your parents discipline you?How do they feel about spanking?
Don’t forget to add two questions of your own design.
5.Conclude with a reflective paragraph. How did you feel the interview process went? What did you learn about this experience?Give at least one specific example for each domain of development of what you learned and how it ties back to the theory. How does your development relate to what our textbook says? (6 points)

You should also refer to your textbook, the “NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment” (https://naeyc.org/resources/position-statements/ethical-conduct), and theories of development related to behavior in crafting your responses for the chart. You will reference the specific “ideal” or “principle” from the Code of Ethical Conduct or the specific developmental theory in the Reference column of the chart.
Below is a list of children’s behaviors that may be exhibited in a childcare setting or in the child’s home. Read each behavior and complete the columns in the attached Guidance Assessment Chart (graph). The bolded word(s) should be in the “situation” column. In the next columns, analyze and determine:
1) the most likely cause of the behavior (standard 1b)
2) the best preventative guidance technique to use with the behavior
(standard 1c, 2c, 4b)
3) the best solution that promotes positive self-concept and prosocial
Behaviors (standard 1c, 2c, 4a)
4) the reason for selecting the prevention or solution based on research,
theorists, coursework, professional standards/guidelines and personal
experience (standard 1c, 4a, 6b, 6d)
PLEASE USE THE CDEC 1319 FORMAT WHEN ANSWERING THE QUESTIONS PLEASE.
