Read the teacher scenarios in reflective Exercise 2.5 Assessing Other Educators’ Attitudes Toward Students’ Families. Choose Teacher One, Teacher Two, or Teacher Three.

In a four- to five-page paper (excluding the title and reference pages) respond to the teacher you chose as per the following guidelines. Use at least three credible sources, including your text, and be sure to use correct APA formatting as per the Ashford Writing Center Guidelines.

In the first section of your paper, respond as if you were a parent of a student in the class. Summarize what you would expect from the teacher.

In the second section of your paper, respond as if you were the principal/administrator of the teacher and describe how you would sway this teacher to understand the importance of a family/school partnership. Include the following in your plan:

· Provide at least three suggestions to encourage the teacher to make positive change.

· Create a list or chart of resources you would suggest to this teacher. At least two of these resources must support your suggestions to encourage positive family/school partnerships. If you use an outside source be sure to give proper credit as per APA guidelines for crediting charts and tables.

· State three additional ways to support this teacher in deepening his/her understanding of the importance of a family/school partnership.

This week, you will be working on your final research projects.

Remember, your final paper must be 5-7 pages with APA in-text citations and a references page.

The end of the course is in sight now!  I know that this has been a tough semester, so congratulations on making it nearly to the finish line : )

I appreciate your work so far!

This week, we will begin to work on the final project.   The first draft of your paper will be due in Week 14.  The Final Draft will be due in Week 15.

This is the Final Project Plan:

Week 13-This week, you choose one of the two topics from the Final Project Outline/Assignment Sheet.  This can be found in the Week 13 Content Folder. I am also posting it in this announcement.  Later in the week, I will post more tips on how to write the final project.

Week 14- Next week, you will post at least a partial rough draft to the Week 14 Discussion Thread by Thursday.

Week 15-During the final week of the term, you will be asked to submit your final project to Turn It In Direct for Final Grading.

The final project is where you will connect your visual artist and your writer.

The only difference is that with this paper, your research question is always in place.  There are two research questions to choose from.

For your final project, you will choose one of the following two research topics listed below.

Please make sure that you read the guidelines for the following project very carefully.  Also, make sure that you read all of the APA materials if you have not already.  I posted those a while back, but you will certainly need to use your APA materials for the final project!

V. Explore the answer to your question. Draw conclusions based on your research. (2 pages)

The paper MUST:
