write my assignment 15743

Please carefully read and think about the entire prompt before composing your first post. This discussion will require you to have carefully read Chapter 4 of the textbook, as well as the assigned portions of Immanuel Kant’s (2008) Groundwork for the Metaphysics of Morals.

Think of someone real or fictional whom some people regard as a “hero” for helping others, stopping something bad or evil, and so forth, even though by doing so they violated what would normally be considered a moral rule (focus on morality; don’t simply think of someone who broke the law). For example, they may have lied, broken a promise, stolen, harmed someone innocent, or even murdered, but done so with good intentions. (Be sure to clearly explain both sides of this example – what seems good and what seems morally questionable about the action.)

Try to think of any example that we would either all be familiar with, or something we can easily look up (in other words, don’t just make something up or describe something generic). Think of characters in movies, TV shows, or books, people in the news, historical figures, etc. Please don’t use an example that someone else has already used!

  1. Engage with the text:

Once you have thought of your example, evaluate what they did according to Kant’s Categorical Imperative. First, explain the Categorical Imperative.  Is what the person did moral, or immoral, according to the Categorical Imperative?  (You may focus on either formulation.)

Write a 1 page paper on hinduism and divine images. Hinduism and Divine Images affiliation Hinduism and Divine Images Different religions picture God in different ways depending on their own beliefs. For example, the Hindu culture believes in many gods who are represented in different forms or idles. In the Christian and Judaism culture, God is as unseen and cannot be explained or represented physically, he is believed to a supernatural being (Adams, 1997).

Body

When I was a child, the picture of the Devine was that there was only one God who had the characteristic of being powerful, pure, patient, the creator of every being, and forgiving. However, after critical interviews with friends from different religious background, this picture has changed. This picture has changed because of understanding that different religions have different ways of interpreting the Devine, for example, Hinduism believe in many gods each having different names, for example Krishna. On the other hand, Christians and Jews believe in one God who is not represented in physical form.

These images are expected to change with time or as I age because of globalization and the fact that people are still researching on the unknown to better understand the nature of God. Everyday new religions come up with their own understanding of God based on their research, which is a clear prove of the expected change in this image (Watts, 1991). It is expected to be hard to determine the correctness of one image as compared to the other. However, one method of doing this is by looking at the description that is closest to ancient writings as per each religion.

Conclusion

The issue of the image of the Devine is critical in understanding different religions because different religions have their own understanding and representation of the God.

Write a 12 page essay on The Adversarial Justice System.

The adversarial system of justice relies upon four presumptions: First, that the parties are both legally represented. second, that the lawyers are roughly of the same caliber. third, that each parties interest are promoted to the fullest of each adversary’s ability. and fourth, that the court rarely needs to intervene on the interest of the public. (See Zuckerman & Cranston, 1995).&nbsp.The adversarial process attempts to be fair and just in that the parties that enter the process do have control over initiating the action, clearly outlining the nature of the action through pleadings, exploring the legal framework for which their action falls under, and surveying possible settlements to their actions. Each opposing side is afforded these opportunities in legal proceedings making the adversarial process fair and just. But in criminal cases, the odds are stacked against defendants and since the process is ultimately made up of opposing parties, the adversarial process is not always fair, just and in the best interest of the public. The Roman Influence in European Law&nbsp.Legal systems are set up in an adversarial system of justice. This was, in large part, due to the laws and systems set about by Roman rule. European law has a deep rooted history that stems from the adoption and codification of laws and systems that were originally laid out by the Roman Empire. Though there were many interpretations of Roman law throughout the middle ages, and various applications of the law depended largely on the different regions of Europe.

Create a 8 pages page paper that discusses employee of a large multinational corporation producing consumer goods. There enough reasons to support this belief of the global investors as in only twenty years China has successfully transformed itself into an investor-friendly country. According to the analysts, the Mainland China of today somehow reflects the picture of the industrial revolution in the year 1870 in the United States of America. (“Profiting from China’s Capitalist Revolution”, N.d). This growth can be considered as almost a miraculous one as within a very little span of time China has converted itself from an agrarian economy to almost the manufacturing workshop of the world. (“Why China is an attractive market”, 2009). Previously there were hardly any private sectors in the country but now the situation has changed so much that foreign investors are targeting almost every industrial sector for making their investments. A research report concludes that the Chemical, Commodities, Oil and Steel industry is showing tremendous growth in the nation, along with the telecommunication and software industry which is also contributing to the growth factor. (“Profiting from China’s Capitalist Revolution”, N.d).

Advancement in the consumer goods market is fairly limited and the analysts believe that this limited growth is only due to the lack of reasonable foreign investment. For that matter, there are enough visible scopes in the market, which a consumer goods company can exploit. If we take an overall picture of the economy we would observe that the GDP of the country has grown with an average of 9 percent per year and with an estimated growth of 10. 4 percent in the year 2007. (“China”, 2009). As the economy is doing well there must a large section of the population whose purchasing power has also increased. The strength of the economy and its upward trend was&nbsp.well-proven as the country despite being slowed down in the year 2008, has shown tremendous potential to continue its expansion and development in the following year.&nbsp.
