Casper Computer has diversified into music players, called BUBS, which have a sealed battery that can be replaced only by returning the BUBS to Casper. Since the price to the customer of such battery replacement is almost as high as buying the next-‐generation BUBS, battery life has received attention both within Casper and outside. Casper has carried out extensive testing, and has estimated the average battery life to be 2.1 years, with a standard deviation of 0.4 year, and the shape of the histogram of the individual battery lives is well fit by a normal distribution. The battery life follows this pattern regardless of the proportion of time the BUBS is powered on, and regardless of the battery-‐recharge pattern. (You may use Excel functions to compute the results. If you use Excel, please write up the Excel function(s) to show your work.)

a. Approximately what percent of batteries last for at least 3 years?

b. If Casper offers a battery-‐replacement warranty of 2 years, approximately what percent of batteries will be subject to replacement under this warranty? (Hint: A battery will be subject to replacement if it fails within the warranty period.)

c. Casper would like to set a warranty period that would expose it to replacing 10% of batteries. What should the warranty period be?

I need some assistance with these assignment. rise of english as a world language Thank you in advance for the help! Perhаps the presence of English mаkes people lаzy аbout leаrning other lаnguаges, or reduce their opportunities to do so. Perhаps English hаstens the disаppeаrаnce of minority lаnguаges, or — the ultimаte threаt — mаke аll other lаnguаges unnecessаry. Linked with аll this is the unpаlаtаble fаce of linguistic triumphаlism — the problems thаt society meets in the contemporаry world. It is importаnt to fаce up to these feаrs, аnd to recognize thаt they аre widely held. In the following essаy, I will discuss a couple of problems thаt аrise out of “English going globаl”

А new lаndmаrk report commissioned by the British Council on the position of the English lаnguаge in the world shows thаt the globаl dominаnce of English poses mаjor problems for Britаin. Hello, I am looking for someone to write an essay on Mexico4. It needs to be at least 250 words.

The target groups of rape cases are mainly young women and girls who form the economic underclass of society and work in factories that pay low wages. Sexual murders and unexplained disappearance of women and young girls rank highest in Mexico vis a vis other North American countries according to Statistics by Human Rights Organizations and lobby groups. Chihuahua, Chiapas and San Salvador are places most affected by these cases.

Efforts to salvage the rights of women in Mexico have had a plunge occasioned by repugnant tendencies of authorities and employers who actively and openly discriminate against women. They have adversely been mistreated as menial job workers at the Maquiladora Industrial plants. where jobs are terminated in case of pregnancy. Mexicans are considered to be reasonably religious, a situation that has contributed to several States pronouncing abortion as illegal (Wickam-Crowly & Eckstein, 2003). To this end, the jury is still out on whether this enacted law is a violation of the rights of women.

Public outcries and sustained protests by Women rights activists led the Government to create the National Commission for Equality between Men and Women, CNDH, to look into social, legal and economic issues that were unfair to women. It also has programs that seek to empower women through teaching them their legal rights and training on ways to achieve sustainable livelihoods. Reproductive healthcare remains an issue of debate as most anti-abortionists see it as the platform used to legalize abortion (Wickam-Crowly & Eckstein,

Max Weber’s bureaucratic theory on bureaucracy is the basis for the systematic formation of any organization and is designed to ensure efficiency and economic effectiveness. It is an ideal model for management and its administration to bring an organizations power structure into focus.

While reading over this week’s forum discussion about criminal justice agencies that most closely align with the bureaucratic management style, I couldn’t help but think about the role that hierarchy of authority, Division of Labor, and Written Rules play in most agencies. Not only did Hierarchy of authority stick out the most to me probably because of my military background and understanding the ranking structure in it but also because it can be seen almost everywhere in law enforcement and even correction agencies there is always that standard ranking system. That ranking system is kind of like pyramid of sorts that helps dissect your roles and positions in the agencies. Agencies usually consist of a few sergeants that rank above your standard officers. The sergeants will issue out taskings and jobs to the lower ranking officers that are to be carried out.

The second style I wanted to talk about was division of labor. The division of labor deals with the overall performance of functions that are made up of multiple sections inside of an organization. Division of labor helps split up the work load so not just one person is slammed with all the work splitting up the work load will also help out so there’s not a single point of failure.  A good example of this is in any police precinct. Each officer or squad is assigned a different tasking for example dividing up certain sections of the city for the officers to patrol or watching certain high ways.

The third and final style I’m going to talk about is written rules. Written rules stuck out to me again because of my military background and how I have to follow the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Written rules can be found in any police agency. They are just recorded written down rules, policies, procedures, decisions, and administrative acts. While being on duty you are required to not only know and follow these written rules but also enforce them.

I need you to read that and write a response back in 150 words apa style

In your response posts to classmates, evaluate the unique characteristics they have identified. If you agree with the classmate’s assessment of the characteristics, elaborate more on the unique aspects of these characteristics and how they align criminal justice agencies to the bureaucratic management style. If you disagree, respectfully highlight the points that you feel are incorrect, being sure to support the opposing position that you are taking.
