Complete 7 page APA formatted essay: Windows Server 2012 Deployment.

“Windows Server 2012” is an updated operational tool, which is mainly employed for conducting various tasks with dynamic recovery options. Apparently noted, there lay numerous features of Windows Server 2012 through which WAI can reap significant advantages in the context of getting its internal IT services configured. In this regard, the new facets of Windows Server 2012 can be apparently observed as improved storage, better networking facility, wider remote access, developed server administration, enhanced efficiency, along with fostering innovation and broader flexibility and agility among others (Microsoft, n.d.). It is anticipated that with better execution and incorporation of the aforementioned features, WAI can be able to get its internal IT related services configured with utmost efficacy.

Deployment and Server Editions

Based on the scenario provided, it can be ascertained that WAI will have two sites particularly in Los Angeles and New York. Since the company will start with 90 employees, the employment of two servers will be sufficient for getting its internal IT services configured. It is worth mentioning that the roles, which will be combined within the requisite two servers, include “Active Directory Certificate Services”, “Hyper-V” and “Active Directory Domain Services” (ADDS) among others. In this similar concern, the role of ADCS will involve in facilitating the servers towards offering certificates to the clients. On the other hand, “Hyper-V” will play the role of installing as well as configuring the support services within the two servers.

What are the constraints and objective for Triangle Utilities?

Triangle Utilities provides electricity for three cities . The company has four electric generatorsthat are used to provide electricity . The main generator operates 24 hours per day , with anoccasional shut- down for routine maintenance . Three other generators ( 1 , 2, and 3 ) are available*to provide additional power when needed . A start- up cost is incurred each time one of these*Generators is started . The start- up costs are $6, 000 for 1, 55, 000 for 2, and $4, 000 for 3 . TheseBETTERators are Used in one of the following wars : a generator may be started at 6:10 am . and runfor Either & hours or 16 hours , or it may be started at 2:010 p.m. and run for & hours ( until 10: 010p.m . J . Each generator can only be started once . All generators except the main generator are shutdown at 10:010 p.m . Forecasts indicate the need for 3, 200 megawatts more than provided by themain generator before 2:00 p.m., and this need goes up to 5, 700 megawatts between 2: 010 and 10:010p.m . Generator I may provide up to 2, 400 megawatts, generator 2 may provide up to 2, 1010megawatts , and generator 3 may provide up to 3, 300 megawatts . The cost per megawatt used perB – hour period is $& for 1, 59 for 2 , and 57 for ].( a) Formulate this problem as a mixed integer program to determine the least- cost way to meetthe needs of the area.I bj Solve the problem formulated in ( a ) by Excel solver .

Derick has asked you to complete the sampling plan worksheet that he began earlier. This

worksheet (WP C) file is labeled 20X9_atrib.xlsx (Link). He has defined the sampling unit as

the prenumbered sales invoice, and the relevant attributes as:

1. Bill of lading attached and signed by the carrier;

2. Product prices in agreement with master price list stored in computer;

3. Extensions and footings correct;

4. Quantities and product type in agreement with customer order; and

5. Customer balance within the authorized credit limit.

You are NOT required to perform the sample selection process. In this Module the sample has

already been selected and has already been audited. The following information lets you know

what would have been done as part of the sample selection process. The population for attribute

sampling purposes is the numeric file of sales invoices. During 20X9, 22,400 sales invoices were

processed, with document numbers ranging from 10610 to 33009 inclusive. For each sales

invoice number drawn at random and included in the sample, you would request the client to

supply the invoice/bill of lading packet and the corresponding customer order. The sales

invoice/bill of lading packet could be obtained from the numeric file maintained in CBIS. The

customer order, the number of which appears on the face of the invoice, is stored in the computer

and could be printed out on demand. You then would examine the documents for the above

attributes.

Requirements

1. Based on the deficiencies in the design of controls identified in the sales processing subset of

the revenue cycle as explained in the first two paragraphs of this module, does the sampling plan

and testing described in the previous paragraph address all relevant financial statement assertions

related to sales and accounts receivable? If not, which assertion(s) are not considered in the

initial plan, and how could the plan be adjusted to address these assertions?

2. Retrieve the file titled “20X9_attrib.” (Link) Using the sample size and sample evaluation

tables from our textbook and the following data, complete the attribute sampling plan worksheet

(in using the “Sample Results Evaluation” table, select the sample size that is closest to your

sample size):

a. The auditor sets the risk of overreliance at 5% (implying that the auditor is willing to accept a

5% chance that inferences from the sample will be incorrect). A 5% risk of overreliance

(sampling risk) is reflected in the 20X9_attrib file.

b. Misstatements have been defined, and expected deviation rates set for each attribute as

follows:

1) Bill of lading not attached to packet: 1%

2) Incorrect prices: 1%

3) Extension and/or footing errors: 0.5%

4) Quantities and/or product type not in agreement with customer order: 1%

5) Customer balance exceeds authorized credit limit: 1.5%

c. Tolerable deviation rates (sometimes referred to as the tolerable failure rate) of 4% have been

set for all attributes; and

d. Assume that the sample has already been selected and audited and the following

misstatements were found in examining the sample:

Sales Order Number Misstatement

12511

Bill of lading not signed by carrier

15439

Invoice causing customer to exceed authorized credit limit

18616

Bill of lading missing

23468

Bill of lading missing

27891

Bill of lading missing

3. What conclusions can you draw based on your completed sampling plan worksheet? What

impact might your findings have on the substantive audit programs for Brony’s Bikes? Based on

the results of your testing, should the aggregate materiality threshold be changed for any part of

the revenue cycle?

Write 3 page essay on the topic Time Value of Money Calculations.

Capital budgeting decisions are based on an evaluation of the cash flows expected from investing in a specific project (Emery et al 2007). Projects are evaluated using methods such as: net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), payback period (described as simple payback) and discounted payback period. These methods can assist management in deciding which project among a set of options yields the best return or whether a particular project should be undertaken.

The NPV is the net balance of the initial investment after deducting future cash flows at present values. The implication of a negative NPV indicates the failure of the project to generate enough funds to pay up the initial investments as well as to facilitate some returns to shareholders. Information contained in the Appendix indicates that the project has a positive NPV of $16,692. This implies that the project would be beneficial to the organization

The IRR is the discount rate that equates the present value of a project’s cash flows with the cost of the project (Brigham and Ehrhardt 2005). This occurs when NPV is equal to Zero (0). If used appropriately it is a valuable tool in the selection of projects (Hazen 2003). The IRR of the Server Update project is 10.13 per cent. This is 2.13 per cent above the organization’s cost of capital and therefore offers a positive return to shareholders. See Appendix 1 for the solution.

According to Brigham and Ehrhardt (2005) the simple payback period indicates the time period over which the project recovers the initial investment. In performing the calculations the annual cash flows are set off against the initial outflow until there is a positive balance. Investments with long payback periods are considered to be risky compared to those with relatively short payback periods and so this method has a bias for short term projects. Additionally, the simple payback method does not take into account the time value of money since it
