Now that you have explored fully all the dilemmas that a museum faces in displaying African art, it’s time to assess the pitfalls in person.

Visit the De Young Museum collection of African and Oceanic art (on the second floor), as well as the their collection of ancient art of the Americas (on the first floor). Or, visit the small collection of African and Oceanic art in the Crocker Museum in Sacramento.

For five points extra credit, please compare the Crocker and De Young displays.

  • In your analysis, address one or more of the balancing acts that museums face, and note to what extent the museum is successful, or not, in achieving that balance. Be sure to provide specific examples from the museum displays to make your case.

I would like you to cite at least two different scholarly sources to support your analysis of the museum display.

  • Also select a particular work from one of these collections, and research its meaning and use, beyond what the museum and its website tell you (you may need to expand your research to include similar types of artwork, since little information may be available about that particular piece). Consider how the museum presents the work (its location, “neighborhood,” wall text, etc.), and assess the effectiveness of the presentation, based on your researchbeyond the museum.

I would like you to cite at least two different scholarly sources to support your analysis of the artwork you picked.

  • Finally, explain how the museum could change the exhibit, and how that change would enhance the viewers’ understanding of the art. Again, give specific examples, and keep in mind that the museum’s budget (and space) is limited!

Hi, need to submit a 2250 words essay on the topic Economic History of Europe.

However, in the late 13 century the economy started to decline due to land shortages, overpopulation and depleted soils for food production and other agricultural activities. Conversely, the vast famine of the 1315-17 contributed immensely to the decline in economic growth and development resulting in stoppage of population growth. Agriculture also shrank further. profits declined as prices reduced in 1348 due to the Black Death outbreak in which almost half of the population of England was killed, thus plaguing the gains the economy had achieved further.

England faced similar economic challenges just like the rest of Europe that were characterized by rapid inflation as a result of loss of real wages and an increase in New World golds. To understand further the how stagnant the economy of England was during the pre-industrial revolution era, the Malthusian theory of income determination cannot be ignored. In England, during the pre-industrial era, which was between 1200 -1640, living standards were dictated by the population (Nicholas and Steckel, 1991). According to Malthusian, decrease in population led to the increase in the per capita income in England. Malthusian also stated that the tradeoff between mortality rate and fertility rate determined the income in the pre-industrial economy. The model shows how the economy of England was, thus stagnant by the following assumptions developed by Malthusian (Galor and Wepl, 1999).

The birth rate, mortality rate and the living standards among the ancient people were the three assumptions that Malthusian used to explain why the economy was stagnant. Birth rate increased the population in England, which in return led to the decrease in the living standards among the people (Galor and Weil, 1999). On the other hand, the death rate that resulted in the decrease in population, led to the increase and improvement in the living standards among the people in England. The three assumptions, which are also referred to

Write 16 page essay on the topic What caused the korean war.

The Korean War, civil and military struggle that was fought on the Korean Peninsula and that reached its height between 1950 and 1953, was originated in the division of Korea into South Korea and North Korea after World War II (1939-1945) . Efforts to reunify the peninsula after the war failed, and in 1948, the South proclaimed the Republic of Korea after the elections held under the United Nations and the North established the People’s Republic of Korea under the influence of the USSR.

In 1949, border fighting broke out between the North and the South. On June 25, 1950, North Korean forces crossed the dividing line and invaded the South. Soon, in defence of the South, the United States joined the fighting under the banner of the United Nations (UN), along with small contingents of British, Canadian, Australian, and Turkish troops. In October 1950, China joined the war on the North’s side. By the time a cease-fire agreement was signed on July 27, 1953, millions of soldiers and civilians had perished. The armistice ended the fighting, but Korea has remained divided for decades since and subject to the possibility of a new war at any time3. In this paper, I will talk about causes of Korean War.

World War II ended in Sep 1945, with the total surrender of Japan. Now little Korea, a bone without meat, was in paw reach of Russian armies. Dictator Joseph Stalin was all too well aware of Korea’s value as a foil against Russia’s traditional rivals, China and Japan, and as a checkmate to the United States which, having won the war in the pacific, was bound to play a leading role in establishing the new order in Asia4. He was set to overrun Korea, not to prepare it for freedom, but to convert it to Communism and thereafter exploit it. This has been his plan in central Europe, where he had first liberated, then, held captive, what are called the Iron curtain countries.

In 1943, after the Cairo conference, Stalin had agreed with US,
