An island has two reefs that are suitable for fishing, and there are twenty fishers who simultaneously and independently choose at which of the two reefs (1 or 2) to fish. Each fisher can fish at only one reef. The total number of fish harvested at a single reef depends on the number of fishers who choose to fish there. The total catch is equally divided between the fishers at the reef. At reef 1, the total harvest is given by f1(r1)=8r1-r^2/2, where r1 is the number of fishers who select reef 1. For reef 2, the total catch is f2(r2)=4r2, where r2 is the number of fishers who choose reef 2. Assume that each fisher wants to maximize the number of fish that he or she catches.

a. Find the Nash equilibrium of this game. In equilibrium, what is the total number of fish caught?

b. The chief of the island asks his economics advisor whether this arrangement is efficient, what is the answer? What is the efficient number of fishers at each reef?

c. The chief decides to require a fishing license for reef 1 which would require each fisher who fishes there to pay the chief x fish. Find the Nash equilibrium of the resulting location choice game between the fishers. IS there a value of x such that the equilibrium choices of the fishers results in an efficient outcome? If so, what is this value of x?

Hi, need to submit a 1250 words essay on the topic How and why has your experience and understanding of gender changed through this exploration of gender and popular culture this quarter.

I had romanticized obsession with popular culture as a mark of civilization and being up-to-date with things happening in the world. In my school experiences, individuals with more knowledge of the popular culture appeared more fashionable than the studious types. Popular culture, in this sense, is a concept that traverses commercial advertisements, sports, television, movies, internet products, and other related concepts.

I realized that popular culture is an element that individuals have followed due to its allure. The efficiency and convenience of using internet products such as social networking sites distract individuals from evaluating whether such concepts corrupt our conscience. This suggests that popular culture is not a wholly beneficial concept. For instance, although commercial advertisements promote our awareness on products, they use certain images that promote a distorted view of sexuality. In addition, social media is a platform that can fuel hate messages about certain forms of sexuality.

In this sense, critics of media content may be sometimes ignored because individuals are drawn to the entertainment perspectives of popular culture. One of the assumptions that support this campaign argues that analysts should view popular culture superficially. This suggests analyzing popular media in its intended realm. For instance, an advertisement on a beauty product promotes analysis from an aesthetic perspective. I have learnt, however, that popular culture is not as superficial as it seems. This is because media content submerge into our conscience. Repeated commercial images eventually inform how individuals perceive the world. In addition, such images infringe on the rights of individuals who deserve perception in their unique ways. For instance, commercial advertisements may not give a comprehensive view of how women feel. This is because they do

(Harding 12-16)

My feminist literary critic examines Daviss later on works and reassessing the input in her later fiction to the causes of social reform. Davis Harding explored the tormented conflict, for her female characters, of marriage and professional work. Her works seemingly are exclusive longings for both family and artistic fulfillment but never arrive at a suitable resolution. Occasionally she celebrated the delight of domestic life. More often than not, she articulated ambivalence about the academically or creatively motivated woman. (Harding 21).

In conclusion, in view Harding’s work as a critique of inactive Christianity. However, Davis Harding’s works of irony fall short of addressing sufficiently the outstanding constructive essentials of Life in the Iron Mills. On the other hand, her tale is a conversion tale that does not meet justice to Hardin’s text
