Create a 2 page essay paper that discusses About positive message.

The grooming of the workforce is a win-win situation. It is a strategy which will not only benefit the organization but it will also help the employees to improve their market worth which can be cashed on later.

There are some rules and regulation while taking any course. These rules and regulations must be followed by the employees so that they can get maximum benefits without any hindrance. Employees are entitled to receive scholarship for those courses which are related to their current job. Initially the courses are being offered for the permanent employees however we also believe that our temporary workers will try to work hard to get the status of permanent employee so that they can also make their market worth through these courses. Tuition fee is considered as one of the major chunk of any study. Therefore the organization has already made an arrangement for it and we hope that employees will make the arrangement for other expenses like books and stationary at their own expense. Grade ‘C’ will be considered as a mandatory requirement for the reimbursement of approved applications of the employees. Temporary employees can take some benefits from the scholarship after the completion of their probationary period with the company. Employees interested in under-graduate programs will be better of since the undergraduate programs are not taxed as per the rules of the taxation.

There are very few organizations that care about the workforce to such an extent. However we also believe that these facilities are not only benefiting the employees but such a grooming is also enhancing the goodwill of the organization.

We believe that employees should consider it as a life time opportunity and try to give maximum time to their courses after the completion of their work. Work experience can not benefit alone. Many HR managers expect that employees should keep themselves up to date with the latest developments related to their field. For example if

Please read the attached case Medisys Corp: The IntensCare Product Development Team and answer the following questions. Maximum: Two pages Double Spaced.

Organizing and Leading “Heavyweight” Development Teams – Read article attached for reference.

  1. There is a lot going on with the Intenscare team at Medisys.  For this question, please use the heavyweight teams article and evaluate the team according to the model for effective heavyweight teams.  The question has three parts that are of equal importance:.

a) First, identify two key benefits that heavyweight teams can bring to product development, and briefly explain whether the Intenscare care is delivering on those benefits.

b) Second, when Medisys set up the team (i.e., designed it), what was at least one important thing they did right and one important thing they did wrong according to the article, and briefly explain the implications of their choices.

c) Third, think about how the article advises different team members to behave (i.e., do their jobs as members of the team).  Identify two important ways in which the team members are NOT doing these things, and briefly explain the implications of these failures.

2) Identify three other important reasons the team is performing as it is and briefly explain their influence on team performance.  You have flexibility to answer this question based on your experience and knowledge, or ideas from other courses, or you can draw on the conceptual article further.  All these are fine.  That said, at least one reason must be at the organizational level (that is, how did the organization context – things like structure, culture, leadership, history – affect the team).  The other two reasons can be of any type (i.e., team setup, team member behaviors, more on organizational influence).

Assignment 2: Discussion—The Cognitive-Affective Processing Systems (CAPS) Approach

In the last few decades, there has been a dramatic increase in research focusing on the brain-behavior relationship. In 2004, Walter Mischel and Yuichi Shoda (Smith, 2006) revised an earlier model and termed it the cognitive-affective processing system (CAPS).

CAPS provides a conceptual model that links cognitive, affective, motivational, and behavioral processes; this model can be easily applied to sport psychology.Read the following article: Smith, R. E. (2006). Understanding sport behavior: A cognitive-affective processing systems approach. Journal of Applied Sport Psychology, 18(1), 1–27. (EBSCO ID: 19875943)http://libproxy.edmc.edu/login?url=http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=s3h&AN=19875943&site=ehost-liveExamine the following sections in detail:  “CAPS Elements,” which is a description of the five CAPS elements on page 6“Applying the CAPS to Sport Phenomena,” which is about the application of the five CAPS elements for understanding sport psychology phenomena beginning on page 11Select either of the following topics from the section, “Applying the CAPS to Sport Phenomena,Mental Toughness”“Performance Anxiety”Discuss the five CAPS elements as they relate to the topic you choose. Be sure to apply the concepts to a situation where you were mentally tough or have encountered performance anxiety. You may have encountered such situations on the field, in the gym, or while giving a speech in high school. Download the template and use it to organize your responses. Then cut and paste your responses in the discussion thread.By the due date assigned, post your response to the appropriate Discussion Area. Through the end of the module, review and comment on at least two peers’ responses.

Address the following when reviewing your peers’ responses:Comment on how you may be able to generalize the situation your peers have discussed to a future client.

Mention any other suggestions you would offer for the final CAPS element that involves plans and strategies for attaining goals.

Assignment 2 Grading Criteria Maximum PointsApplied the concepts of the five CAPS elements to an appropriate situation displaying adequate research and analysis.

8Actively contributed to the discussion by providing points of view with rationale, challenging points of the discussion, or drawing relationships between points of the discussion.

8Wrote in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrated ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; displayed accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Of special significance is Mischel and Shoda’s (1995) description of the Cognitive-Affective Processing System (CAPS), a dynamic network of cognitive, affective, motivational, and behavior-generation units that interacts with situational factors to produce both coherence and cross-situational variability in behavior. Consistency in situation-behavior relations are demonstrated in individualized “behavioral signatures” of athletic coaches. The CAPS model has promise as a theoretical template within which domain-specific theoretical frameworks in sport psychology can be incorporated and expanded. To illustrate the potential utility of the CAPS model for construct elaboration, assessment of individual differences, and interventions in sport psychology, I apply it to an analysis of mental toughness and to performance anxiety, achievement goal theory, idiographic assessment, and psychological skills training. Finally, I suggest that “bottom-up” approaches to identifying causal mechanisms, exemplified by the CAPS and other social-cognitive models, can have considerable potential for theoretical, empirical, and applied advances in sport psychology.
