Hi, need to submit a 1000 words essay on the topic Carol Gilligan and Difference Feminism.

Psychological Theory and Women’s Development,” Gilligan makes a forceful dispute that psychology has scientifically rejected women in attempting to answer questions about how human beings make moral judgments, and claims the pre-existence and significance of different voices which involve feminine, relationship, and emotional-oriented in moral reasoning. In the book, Gilligan (11-35) provides an immediate sensation that is embraced by the newly developed studies on women. The moral psychology as explained in the book straddles both philosophy and psychology by evaluating human’s approaches to ethical dilemmas. Whilst ethical reasoning is a generic human skill, psychologists assume that women and men differ. They provide assumptions that reign well for many centuries. In her book, Gilligan provides many and major arguments. The most important involves human puzzle in the moral dilemma of the ethics of justice and ethics of care (Gilligan 99-100). Gilligan shows much care while writing moral orientation, which is not aligned with gender but on the empirical relationship between different voices and women. Gilligan (100-114) argues that men make decisions regarding personal rights, and through such views, Gilligan argues that women are responsible for other individuals. Because of such imprinting and improvable notions, Gilligan draws women view in terms of connectedness, whereas men are viewed with regards to separation. As such, Gilligan seeks to elevate the status of such connectedness where she focuses on several studies performed by her colleagues (Gilligan and Richards 77-90). Carol’s works emphasize on sex differences in moral reasoning. It also focuses on the violence perspective, the resolution of sexual conflicts, and the abortion decisions (Gilligan 411-417). These factors create greater challenges through the introduction of feminist perspective with respect to moral development.&nbsp.

Hi, I need help with essay on Bodyritualnacirema. Paper must be at least 500 words. Please, no plagiarized work!

General George Washington led the American revolution in 1776, and became the first American president. For more than half of Americans, he is much more than a cultural hero.

The article goes further to note that Nacirema’s culture is characterized by a well developed market economy which delivers financial benefits to the majority of the Nacirema people. The Nacirema people use up most of their time in pursuing in tending their bodies in ritualistic ways that have cultural approval (Miner, 1956). The author is obviously alluding to the preoccupation that many Americans have with ensuring that their bodies are in the best physical shape. The ‘shrine’ that the author alludes to, which exists in many houses for the purposes of ritualistically attending the body is probably a reference to gymnasiums, or exercise rooms, which many Americans have created within their houses.

This shrine could also be an allusion to the medicine box. The author states that within their shrines, the Nacirema usually include a chest like box that is built into the wall. This chest is said to hold magical portions which have been given to the people by specialized practitioners. The people cannot really tell what the portions are made up of, as the practitioners write what they are in a supposedly secret language that can only be deciphered by other practitioners. From the way the author describes these portions, it is evident that he is speaking about medicinal prescriptions, as well as nutritional supplements such as vitamins and minerals which can be found today in almost every American home.

The author then goes on to stop that the Nacirema culture is obsessed with the human mouth. He satirically states that the Nacirema believe so much in the power of their mouths, that they are certain that if they do not perform certain rituals on a daily basis, their teeth would fall out, and their social and personal relationships

Write 2 pages thesis on the topic clinical assessment. Clinical Assessment November 10, Introduction Psychological assessments are applied when psychologists want to understand the human personality. In our case it is important for the neighbor to consult a clinical psychologist who can use scientific skills to establish the reason behind the child’s poor performance at school as it may be as a result of a psychological disorder. For appropriate treatment to be given and to thoroughly understand the person a psychological assessment is used and using it results can be drafted that can be used to show the psychological state of the individual (Cantley, 2008). The child could be suffering from various disorders that could be negatively affecting their studies or could be under the influence of drugs that can affect their psychological wellbeing.

Assessment Tools

The psychologists often use structured questionnaires that are meant to establish the individual’s characteristics and their ability to understand and conceptualize ideas. A question may be asked severally and the consistency of the answers given can be used to evaluate whether the person is able to comprehend what they are saying or not. A personality assessment would also be important as understanding the individual’s personality is also key in establishing the cause of their psychological problems. The clinician will first establish or try to know the child’s medical history. The medical history is important in establishing whether there was a disease or disorder affecting the child in the past that could have facilitated a change or problems with their personality. Such changes can be manifested in failure to perform as expected in school or change of behavior that can as well have similar consequences to the child. If need be the psychologist can request for the performance of specific medical check on the child to rule in or out the presence of disorders such as schizophrenia.

Clinical interviews are the most widely applied psychological tools in establishing the psychological state of individuals. They involve the use of questions that are open ended to help the individual think widely and respond to them in an amicable way. The response given helps the interview to establish the person’s personality and the seriousness of his/her condition. However, it is important to note that a single clinical interview is not enough to make a diagnosis. It is therefore important to do several to come up with a good diagnosis (Trull & Prinstein, 2012).

Personality assessments can be used in this case to help in the diagnosis of the child. The MMPI-II is the most widely used personality assessment tool and its use can be important in establishing changes in his behavior. The diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is also an important tool that is used by psychologists and it can be used in our case. It has all the psychological disorders that have been studied in the past and so with the other tools in use the clinician knows which disorder is affecting the given patient (Trull & Prinstein, 2012). Identification and diagnoses of mental and psychological disorders relies highly on these tools.
