Having read MLK’s, “Three Ways of Meeting Oppression” please respond to the following:

1.  King clearly identifies 3 distinct ways to “meet” oppression.  What are those three ways and what is King’s position/opinion on each.  Make sure you include at least 1 textual warrant (direct quote from the essay for each of the three stratagems) that illustrates what King’s position is on each.

Please respond to the following:  Non-Violent Resistance is by far the most prudent and effective way of meeting oppression in contemporary society.  Please choose one of the following:  I agree (and why)  I disagree (and why)  I agree BUT with qualification (this is a bit more involved–what you are saying is you agree that non-violent resistance is the best way to go BUT there are circumstances when this tact simply will not work–if you choose this option please give examples of when non-violent resistance would not be  the most prudent course to take)
