The patient was diagnosed with carcinoma of the descending colon five years ago with surgical excision of descending colon. The patient had completed chemotherapy for the primary malignancy and no cancer treatment for the past three eyar. The patient’s colostomy is functioning well. During a follow-up exam recently a CT Scan of the liver showed a suspicious lesion that was later biopsied and found to be Secondary malignant neoplasm that originated in the colon. The patient visited the oncologist today in Oncology Clinic to review treatment options.
