Disease burden from non-communicable diseases among adults—the most economically productive age span—is rapidly increasing in developing countries due to ageing and health transitions. Therefore, the level of adult mortality is becoming an important indicator for the comprehensive assessment of the mortality pattern in a population. The World Health Organization (WHO) studied the adult mortality rate in world countries annually since 2000. Adult mortality rate is described as the probability of dying between 15 and 60 years of age per 1000 population. In this project, you are given the adult mortality rates from a random sample of 101 countries in the world from years 2000 and 2015. The data is disaggregated based on gender for each year. Part 1 Data: Download the Adult Mortality Data spreadsheet and study the data.
