Different nations are adopting different kinds of strategies based on their own geographical, social and political situation to meet the high standard. In this paper the main focusing on India. The paper is divided into two parts. In the first part the focus is on the economic and social condition of the country, how the growth rate is over last 5 to 10 years in various aspects and how the country is taking decision to meet its financial objective. In the second part the focus is on one particular aspects of development ad that is literacy. Here the discussion is on the state of literacy in India, the strategies adopted by the government to improve the rate of literacy and what are the outcomes of that strategy.

In Asia, India is close second after China and there is a strong fight between two nations to become the economic superpower. At present, both of these nations are key powers in the world politics as well as world economic condition. As a nation India developed many a fold in last decade as the GDP of the nation is continuously moving upwards, the export volume is also growing year after year. The rate of inflation in the country is also under control. The expenditure in terms of some important parameters like education, health, decreasing the child mortality etc.is also a key part in steady growth of the nation. For last ten years, under the rule of UPA government India as a nation has gone through a mix bag period. In the early half of last ten years the growth rate was on the higher side
