Therefore, several leading airlines have decided to merge with each other in order to reduce several business threats.

Delta Airlines, Inc. and Northwest Airline Corp. in 2008 have proclaimed that they are going to merge with each other in order to create world’s largest airline named Delta. . Due to merger, the flexibility to acclimatize to the economic challenges of Delta has increased. After the merger, Northwest Airline is the completely owned subsidiary of Delta. According to the market characteristic theory of low-cost airlines, it is feasible that low-cost airlines usually compete in such a market where the traveller density is high enough to develop the competitive advantages by offering rapid-return and time to time services.

Lower fares usually results from the economies of traffic density. This type of economies of scale is one of the key features in the airline network model. Such strategic actions also bring certain non-price benefits also. Current trends towards the product differentiation seem to be one of the elements of competition. Due to such strategic actions the airline companies have increased incentive to correspond and improve customer service quality.

Due to the economic down turn the company along with the whole airlines companies in Europe and America went through a tough phase. The competition has been intense regarding fares, services and routes. Also the company indulged in to a legal battle with the union airlines. A problem faced by the company has been the over dependence on the North-American market

Merger and acquisition in airline industry is one of the interesting topics within the industry. The study will reveal the effect of merger on the business performance of two leading airlines

R. W. Allard and W. M. Clement determined recombination rates for a series of genes in lima beans (R. W.Allard and W. M. Clement. 1959. Journal of Heredity 50:63–67). The following table lists paired recombinationrates for eight of the loci (D, Wl, R, S, L1, Ms, C, and G) that they mapped. On the basis of these data, draw aseries of genetic maps for the different linkage groups of the genes, indicating the distances between the genes.Keep in mind that these rates are estimates of the true recombination rates and that some error is associated witheach estimate.Recombination Rates (%) among Seven Loci in Lima BeansWl R S L1 Ms C GD 2.1 39.3 52.4 48.1 53.1 51.4 49.8Wl 38 47.3 47.7 48.8 50.3 50.4R 51.9 52.7 54.6 49.3 52.6S 26.9 54.9 52.0 48.0L1 48.2 45.3 50.4Ms 14.7 43.1C 52.0Significantly different than 50% is any percentage

Need an argumentative essay on Public Education is Killing the Creativity. Needs to be 4 pages. Please no plagiarism.

The main objective of developing an education system was not to nurture the talent and skills in people but rather to equip them with certain skills that would help bring up a pool of knowledgeable personnel to act as the labor force in the industries that were booming at the time. This ideology did not change even when the industrial era was over. since education kept on being passed like a culture and the old ideologies became perpetual through the time to the present as the same principles can be seen applicable to date (Robinson, 2011). Therefore, the idea of people being different with variable skills was not taken into consideration as a whole, because the educational idea focused only on developing academicians and not artists. It is at this juncture that interpersonal skills and talents that are embedded in various personalities were killed and buried as the educational system had no place for them. In essence, if one was not doing well in formal education he/she was readily regarded as a good for nothing as they would not provide any material well to the skilled workforce that was in need at the time (Robinson, 2011).

However, these principles have slightly changed over time to incorporate co-curriculum activities among the courses offered in the formal education syllabus but the art related subjects have little or no significance when it comes to the overall grading of the students. For instance, students who are good in subjects like mathematics and the sciences but poor in art and music are regarded brilliant and intelligent as opposed to those who are good in arts but weak in core subjects hence often regarding them as academic failures. Therefore, the ideal of over-emphasizing certain subjects over the others kills the morale of those that are good in the areas that are not strongly emphasized in the academic programme (Robinson, 2011).

Write 4 page essay on the topic Employees’ Internet Usage in Workplace: To Monitor or not to.

(Murugan, 2004) A decision can however be reached based on certain factors. Most people responsible for making the decision such as managers would analyze the cost associated with the computer surveillance against the financial loss of wasted time before making a decision on whether or not to monitor employee’s internet usage at work. Ignoring the ethical part of the issue, most employers choose to monitor their employee considering the fact that the time wasted by the employees for personal interest at the organizations expense is far much of a loss of which they feel a strong need to contain. Other employers choose not to monitor their employees’ internet usage not based on ethics but on the necessity to cut back on their technology cost. (Anandarajan, 2004) Ethics and management are the two major deciding factors on the issue at hand. Personally, being responsible for making the decision on whether or not to limit the employee’s internet usage, I would choose to monitor and limit the internet usage among the employees. There are many reasons as to why I would choose employee surveillance on internet usage at the work place. Weighing management against ethics on the issue of employee surveillance, management outweighs ethics since the primary role of an organization is productivity and the need to protect the organization’s assets including network, data and equipment. Management ensures high productivity among the employees while eradicating any huddles that may hinder or reduce the productivity of an organization. (Anandarajan, 2004) In order to achieve this goal, management therefore calls for employee monitoring on the internet usage in order to ensure that no valuable time as well as the organizations resources such as the internet is wasted on personal interest of the employees thereby ensuring high productivity. Matlby states that monitoring employees’ internet usage has become a major weapon in fighting the battle against lost productivity. (Murugan, 2004)Management seeks to reduce the productivity losses associated with employee internet abuse and misuse. Most of the time employees misuse the internet for personal use like online games, shopping and as worse as pornography. Averagely, one to two hours a day is spend by employees on the internet for personal use while at the workplace. Personal use of the internet by the employees may range from as wide as gambling pornography access to playing online games. Some tasks like online shopping and banking, though innocent, are still personal and have the same effect just like the other tasks. An organization’s computers and network are some of the fixed assets used by the organization to ensure production and hence profitability. The employer therefore has the right to ensure that these assets are properly used by the employees especially along the line of production and not otherwise. Employees’ internet usage monitoring is one way to ensure that no misuse of an organization’s time and resources for personal task occur within the work place. Choosing not to monitor employees’ internet usage has proven to be very expensive to a lot of employers given the fact that a lot of organization’s time and resources are wasted to misuse and abuse of the internet in work place for personal task by the employees. It presents a destruction which significantly impacts the performance and productivity. (Mu
