  2. The number of cylinders does not help explain average MPG.
  3. 6 cylinder SUVs do not have statistically higher average MPG when compared to 8 cylinder SUVs.

Summary Measures in Medical Literature

Scientists depend on clear, cogent data displays to make their arguments and support their research conclusions. A well-constructed table or graph is like a snapshot that communicates the important features the researcher wants to highlight. It should be easy to understand and should complement the written summary of the research of which it is a part.

To prepare for this week’s Discussion, review the article by D.J. Fein, “Married and Poor: Basic Characteristics of Economically Disadvantaged Married Couples in the U.S,” from this week’s Learning Resources located at http:// Examine “Exhibit 5, Timing of First Births Relative to First Marriage: Women First Married in 1990.”

Exhibit 5 by Ellwood and Jencks is used to analyze CPS data on the timing of women’s first births relative to first marriages in successive marriage cohorts after dividing each cohort into thirds based on its level of education. Among couples who married in 1990, one-third of those in the bottom education category had their first child before marriage, compared with one-tenth of those in the top education category.

By Day 4, post a comprehensive response to the following:

  • Define the argument that was made in the article by D.J. Fein.
  • Do you think the exhibit supports the argument advanced in the article text? Why or why not? Be specific!
  • What questions does the exhibit raise?
  • How could the display be improved?

Limited Liability company or LLC for short is a form of legal business ownership, that for the purpose of my small business is the best fit for my small company. LLC’s allow for greater protection for small businesses. LLC’s has other benefits compared to others including ease of operations, especially those similar to my independent consultations such as the one I have proposed. Additional, LLC provides significant tax brackets, that differ from larger corporate taxation, as initially my business will have more than two employees (taxid, 2020).

The reason for this is that this will be a sole proprietor ownership, which will alleviate many costs associated with large companies. According to Fishman “Any independent contractor can form an SMLLC to own and run a one-owner business” (Fisherman, 2020) This allows for independents to be listed under state licensing as a single-member LLC or SMLLC).

The second reason to list one’s company as an LLC is to shield them selves from lawsuits that may not protect their personal assets, much like sole proprietorship wouldn’t. This is ideal because if you do not choose to list your company as a limited liability, it will default to sole proprietorship, which may expose one’s assets for litigation in the event of a lawsuit. (secretentourage, 2015)

These benefits aid in cost and budgeting without the pain of large corporate taxes, while still managing any business myself. Cutting costs, will be essential in the independent consultation market, with all the benefits of profits and securities.

Case 1.1Imagine now that you are an instructor at a large state university. You make a strong effort to get to know your students and are relatively successful in this. One day you are giving an in-class exam and, much to your distress, you see one of our students cheating. He is very bright and is one of the students who has come to your office several times to discuss the course material. You know from one conversation with him that his father recently died and that he has had some difficulty concentrating on his schoolwork since then. When you see him cheating, you realize that you could interrupt him during the exam, but you decide not to do so since this would humiliate him in front of his classmates. You could confront him after the exam, fail him for the test, and let the matter go at that. The university, however, has a firm policy on how cases of cheating are to be handled. The policy requires that all cases of cheating are to be reported by faculty to the administration. Faculty are expressly forbidden to use their own discretion in any case of cheating. The administration is highly intolerant of cheating and first offenses result in suspension for a semester. Second offenses result in expulsion. What should you do? On the basis of what considerations should you make your decision? RoommateQuestion: What considerations should be brought to bear on the issue’s possible answers, and what judgments about those answers follow from these considerations?
