Write 5 page essay on the topic White Fang by Jack London.

Unfortunately, all cubs, except the grey cub, die of hunger and their father is killed by a lynx when striving to obtain some food from the lynx’s den.

The negative human-animal relationship is apparent in the chapter as Bill and Henry fail to give any food to the animals leading to the death of the cubs. They perceived the animals as angry creatures that are just after them. Moreover, human-animal and animal-animal acrimony is evident and sets a clear ground for plot development.

Chapter 2 connotes how the young grey cub is keen to explore the world amidst fear of the unknown. When left by his mother, he goes out of the cave in pursuit of food and luckily finds baby ptarmigans which he decides to convert into a meal before their mother finally arrives and hurts him. The fight between the cub and ptarmigan leaves the club exhausted and bruised.

Bill and Henry show concern over the continual missing of their dogs which did not only provide company but also provided security to them. They swear to kill the she-wolf that was causing the annihilation of their dog team. this would ensure that their dogs live on.

Chapter 3 depicts the reunion between Grey Beaver and Kiche, the she-wolf. Grey Beaver captures Kiche and the grey cub whom he names White Fang. Evidently, Kiche had gone missing a year ago due to famine. However, the adventuresome cub had already learned that it had to kill or be killed and that was the way the world operated.

Grey Beaver’s act of tying Kiche to a tree indicates that he is harsh and does not show affection towards Kiche and White Fang. However, White Fang respects him as he discovered that he was might. Axiomatically, animals feel incapable and without freedom when under the care of human beings. They abhor the companion with human beings but lack any other way of deliberating themselves.

Diaz v. Carcamo Legal Analysis

The California Supreme Court ruled that an employer will be liable for injuries sustained by individuals due to the negligent driving of one of its employees, stating the following:

A person injured by someone driving a car in the course of employment may sue not only the driver but that driver’s employer. The employer can be sued on two legal theories based on tort principles: respondeat superior and negligent entrustment.

Respondeat superior, a form of vicarious liability, makes an employer liable, irrespective of fault, for negligent driving by its employee in the scope of employment. The theory of negligent entrustment makes an employer liable for its own negligence in choosing an employee to drive a vehicle.

Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper, written in the third-person voice, that addresses the following:

  • Explore types of principal-agency relationships and determine what type of relationship exists in this case between the driver, Jose Carcamo, and the company, Sugar Transport of the Northwest, LLC.
  • What course of action do you recommend with respect to the lawsuit and Carcamo’s employment?
  • Does Sugar Transport’s Human Resources department have any responsibility for their role in hiring Carcamo? If so, what other employment law issues do you find legally problematic concerning the hiring of Carcamo? Identify them and explain the legal issues and laws that were violated.

Include justification for your responses by citing applicable laws and/or legal cases in your discussion.

Use a minimum of three different sources within the paper in addition to the laws and legal cases required above, and provide in-text citations. Any laws and legal cases used in the body of your paper must also be included in the References page.
