Need an argumentative essay on Direct Manipulation. Needs to be 4 pages. Please no plagiarism.

Video game is one of the best applications where the techniques of direct manipulation are very successful. At the present, the use of video games is increasing because of its entertainment and easy to recognize operations. In fact, people are able to build a variety of skills by playing video games. Additionally, the physical gestures of video games are straightforward and mistakes can be easily corrected depending on their severity. therefore error messages are needless. Similarly, these standards can also be implemented to office automation and personal computing and other arrangements (Huang, Miwa, & Cayabyab, 2013. Hundhausen, Farley, & Brown, 2009).

The research has shown that the principles of direct manipulation can be used in video game controls for example game users always want to use games that are easy to use, system with better availability of feedback and much easier to learn than use. In addition, the principles of direct manipulation can also be employed for differing ones that lead to certainty as well as sense of control that system user needs much more. Moreover, another example of principles of direct manipulation is to have simple and intuitive action specification in video games (Sanderson, 1998. Shneiderman, Direct Manipulation A Step Beyond Programming Languages, 1983. Shneiderman, Direct Manipulation for Comprehensible, Predictable and Controllable User Interfaces, 1997).

Interface design is believed to be one of the most difficult aspects of game development for that reason that it requires transferring huge data and instructions to the player as well as there is small screen space which has to be utilized for completing all these tasks that to do it. Hence, when the interface is less effectively designed, a good game idea can be minimized to an annoying user experience (Dev Mag, 2011).

It is an admitted fact that with the passage of time and advancement of technology the real life applications are becoming easy to

  1. hello can you help with solving the prelab questions?

Suggest a possible procedure for the experiment described in Procedure 3.1.

PROCEDURE 3.1 HOMEOSTASIS – MAINTAINING BODY TEMPERATURE

1.           As a class, design an experiment to test the affect of having insulation (wool) on the ability of sheep to maintain temperature homeostasis. Identify the independent variable, dependent variable, and controlled variables. Materials available include: plastic cup, Styrofoam cup, Vernier LabQuest unit, 2 temperature probes, hot plate, insulating gloves, pan with ice water, graduated cylinder, and water. The experimental design is subject to approval by your instructor.

2.           Directions for using the LabQuest unit with a temperature probe are provided under Procedure 3.2.

3.           Write the procedure on a separate piece of paper. Collect data for 5 minutes. Determine how often to collect a temperature reading. Your instructor must approve the procedure before your group proceeds.

4.           What is the independent variable? _______________________________

5.           What is the dependent variable? ________________________________

6.           What are the controlled variables? _______________________________

7.           Carry out the procedure.

8.         data table on the back of your paper. Have a column for the time, a column for the temperature without insulation (sheared sheep) and a column for the temperature with insulation (sheep with wool). Copy the data recorded on the LabQuest unit.

9.           Graph the data using an Excel spreadsheet. The directions for graphing are listed under Procedure 3.3 Instructor initials _________

10.        Analyze the temperature change over time for the two types of sheep.

11.        What body system would stirring represent? ________________________________

12.        Does it make sense to shear sheep right before winter in Montana? Why or why not? ___________________________________________________________________

Andrew-Carter, Inc. (A-C) is a major Canadian producer and distributor of outdoor lighting fixtures. Its fixture is distributed throughout North America and has been in high demand for several years. The company operates three plants that manufacture the fixture and distribute it to five distribution centers.During the past few years, A-C has seen a major drop in demand for its fixture as the housing market has declined. Based on the forecast of interest rates, the head of operations feels that demand for housing and thus for its product will remain depressed for the foreseeable future. A-C is considering closing one of its plants, as it is now operating with a forecasted excess capacity of 34,000 units per week. The forecasted weekly demands for the coming year are 9,000 units, 13,000 units, 11,000 units, 15,000 units, and 8,000 units for warehouses 1 to 5, respectively. The regular time plant capacities (in units per week) are 27,000 units, 20,000 units, and 25,000 units for plants 1 to 3, respectively. The overtime plant capacities (in units per week) are 7,000 units, 5,000 units, and 6,000 units for plants 1 to 3, respectively. If A-C shuts down any plants any plants, its weekly costs will change, as fixed costs are lower for a non-operating plant. Table 1 shows production costs at each plant, both variable at regular time and overtime, and fixed when operating and shut down. Table 2 shows distribution costs from each plant to each distribution center.Table 1
