Complete 4 page APA formatted essay: Design in 21.

Steve Jobs also grew up in a period where there was freedom of expression, in America, and when the culture was very tolerant and open. In college, the favorite subject of Steve Jobs was typography.

He was able to make a connection on how fonts were able to influence the contents of a design and their audience. Steve Jobs spent most of his years studying the philosophies of eastern nations, and their holistic values (Shea, 11). These values are all manifested into the product philosophy of Apples, through its production of a seamless, sleek, simple and integrated design. The first product made by Apple that was able to change the field of design is the invention and the design of the Macintosh computer system which had a Graphic User Interface (GUI). This computer system was introduced in 1983, and it was meant for designers (lumenthal, 23). This system came with an input device and a mouse which would make it possible for an individual to allow computer drawings, and accurate cursor control.

This system also came with a MacPaint, MacWrite and other fonts which allowed designers to lay out pages that they could print. On this basis, this design by Apples ushered in a new period of Desktop Publishing. This completely changed the field of design, by ushering in, the era of digital design (Shea, 33). On this basis, the computer systems that were using Apple’s GUI became a standard system for all computers that were being manufactured worldwide. The demands of GUI enabled computers were very high, and they revolutionalized the design world whereby the digital artist had a new media platform that could help him or her to create and design products (lumenthal, 22). Following the successes of these Macintosh computers, Steve Jobs and Apples separated for a period of ten years.

Steve Jobs pursued his business interests by developing computer software’s that were able to be used in the fields of animations. However, after ten years, Steve Jobs was able to

Compose a 750 words essay on How Soccer Explains the World: An Unlikely Theory of Globalization by Franklin Foer. Needs to be plagiarism free!

Franklin studies involve sectarian conflicts among different group’s teams of Scotland as well as the tendency of some supporters to suit Jewish terms. This makes some supporters to employ anti-Semitic recites. Culture wars. American seems to be experiencing a progress in polarization on social and political issues. They seem to be divided by class, race, occupation and in terms of education. They are further shown to be divided into two combatant parties trying to outdo each other in terms of the symbol that should dominate. The two parties can further be divided into two broad categories as progressivists as well as orthodoxy which differ in their way of interpreting freedom together with justice. Therefore, these groups differ in terms of world views. Nationalism with Tribalism. The author uses soccer to guard the qualities of old-fashioned nationalism with an aim of blunting the reappearance of tribalism. This book further experiments the theories that a worldwide, globalist philosophy can transcendent with local nationalism. Overarching structures for example the European Union together with the United Nations may achieve structural status but the veneer of these structures, sub-cultures and tribe loyalties will persist and can further be supported by up-to-date communications for example the internet. This will increase fragmentation together with ethnic battle within external facades of worldwide unity. Rising corporate hegemons. As noted in second fragment of the script Franklin uses soccer to look at economics which are the impacts of migration, the perseverance of corruption together with the rise ofdifferent powerful oligarchs for example the president of both Italy and Ac Milan club Silvo Berlusconi. However, it is noted that some themes do not come out very clear for example hooliganism, terrorism, environmental issues, sectarianism as well as ethnic cleansing because they seem to be integrated on the culture as well as the local society. Lynchings were at one point a dreadful section of life of the South Americans hence it cannot be glossed as part of the culture. Therefore the course material is inline but not to perfection with some parts of the argument which the book exposes us to. When the book is analyzed it fails to live to the objective of systematically accounting on political matters and social phenomena in a substantialapproach through soccer. The author is not considered a prodigious stylist because he fails to use the language to deliver his meaning. Foer’s journalistic experience is plainly visible as his purpose is not to let people raise questions about his language expertise. He uses properly researched facts to build up his book. From the title of the book it gives an impression of explaining the world by the word globalization but it only addresses its failure to do away with ancient hatred in among the games rivalries. The book is also consistent at some points for example the chapter on Islam stands out to be very good where it acts as a liberating inspiration for people particularly the women. It should also be noted that inother parts of the world sociology of soccer differs and it cannot

Week 11: Emerging Technology Innovations and Sustainable HIT Practice

Biological, mechanical, and information technologies offer leaders tools that enable them to achieve organizational goals with greater product and service quality, leapfrog competitors in the market, and create new markets. Sometimes leaders decide to adopt evolving and innovative technologies that are in early development cycles and other times they make deliberate decisions not to be early adopters. These may include, but are not limited to, biometric and wearable devices, cloud-based applications, voice recognition technologies, or genomics directed at personalized medicine models. Regardless, it is the responsibility of the organizational leader to understand emerging technology capabilities and assess where these capabilities might enable their strategic imperatives and make their organization more effective. This constant scanning of the environment is an important part of strategic leadership thinking.

Keep in mind emerging technology advancements in health span the breadth of not only information technology but also advancements in biological sciences. For example, developments in molecular science and genetics offer capabilities to personalize medical practice through the use of both bio bank and electronic health record information. Customized pharmaceuticals and nanotechnologies offer unique ways to deliver therapies. While many new technologies offer novel innovations, advances in information technology such as cloud storage serve leaders by significantly reducing infrastructure costs.

This week you are asked to select and discuss an emerging trend in biological or information technology. You will be assessing your own and your colleagues’ views on how these trends can affect significant change in the health sector.

Learning ObjectivesStudents will:

  • Create a presentation for recommending a Health Information System for a health care organization
  • Evaluate the strategic alignment of various emerging health technologies

Discussion: Technology and the Future in Health Care-Transformational Trends and Forces

Note: For this discussion you are required to complete your initial post before you will be able to view and respond to your colleague’s postings. Begin by clicking on the “Post to Discussion Question” link and then select “Create Thread” to complete your initial post. Remember, once you click submit, you cannot delete or edit your own posts, and cannot post anonymously. Please check your post carefully before clicking Submit!

In this Discussion you are asked to select an emerging technology and evaluate its cost-effectiveness and potential adoption. Many novel technologies require significant rethinking of current workflows, roles, culture, and financial models. You are asked to consider how the technology you chose affects these aspects of the current health ecosystem. Likewise, leaders must also consider that some emerging technologies completely lack a financial policy framework.

To prepare:

  • Assess an emerging technology trend in the Learning Resources or one that you prefer to research on your own.

By Day 3

Post:

Select one emerging trend in the health care and/or health care technology industry. What are three take-a-ways from this course that you could use to implement this trend? Given the financial alignment models in the health care industry today, would this technology be readily accepted and cost justified? If yes, explain. If no, what changes in financing policy would have to occur to deem this technology sustainable?
